The Morton Hospital Emergency Department is open around the clock, and is capable of handling serious emergency circumstances. Each year, over 55,000 patients are seen in the Emergency Department, which is staffed by physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and other health professionals who are all highly trained and dedicated to treating patients in the emergency setting.
Upon entering the Emergency Department, a Triage nurse will assess the severity of the patient’s injury or illness, and decide if the patient needs to be seen in the Emergency Room or in ExpressMed.
