The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is committed to assuring the delivery of the highest standards of patient centered care provided to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds at Morton Hospital and Medical Center. Purposes:
The purpose of the PFAC is that the PFAC will be a vital link between Morton Hospital and Medical Center and the community by identifying the needs and priorities of patients and their families in conjunction with Morton Hospital and Medical Center’s healthcare team. The PFAC will strengthen communication among patients, families, healthcare providers and employees as the PFAC will offer input to Morton Hospital and Medical Center’s leadership in planning and evaluating services and programs.
• Serves as advisory resource to administration and staff of the organization.
• Promotes improved relationships between patients, families, and staff.
• Provides a venue for patients and families to provide input into policy and program development.
• Provides an opportunity for patients and families to review recommendations referred to the council by staff or administration.
• Provides an opportunity for patients and families to actively participate in the development of new facilities and programs.
• Channels information, needs, and concerns to staff and administration.
• Actively helps implement changes.
• Provides input into the educational program for staff.
• Collaborates as partners with staff, physicians, and administration in the planning and operation of specific programs.
• Provides opportunities for staff to listen to their customers.
• Provides a safe venue for patients and families to provide input in a setting
During the past 18 months, I have had many medical exams, tests, and inpatient, as well as, outpatient services at the hospital. Throughout this time, I have received outstanding care and compassionate treatment from a most professional staff. Their sincere and friendly manner was always evident no matter how busy they were. The Women’s Imaging Center is open six days a week. Mammography appointments are available Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you have discovered a lump in your breast, you will be seen as quickly as possible.
