Morton Hospital's Patient and Family Advisory Council

Morton Hospital's Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) provides a vital link between the hospital and its community by identifying the needs and priorities of patients and their families in conjunction with Morton Hospital’s health care team. The council is a credible voice in recognizing community needs and helping to develop new services that best meet the expectations of patients and their families.

The PFAC is comprised of a few select hospital employees and executive leadership, several local community organization representatives, and former and current patients of the hospital. One of the main priorities of the group is to assure the delivery of quality, patient-centered care by working in active partnership with the entire health care team to promote patient and family advocacy and involvement, and strengthen communication and collaboration among patients, families, health care providers and employees.

The group will continuously offer input to Morton Hospital leadership in an effort to infuse the patient/family perspective into discussions and decision making to enhance the hospital’s ability to deliver the highest standard of care to all patients from all diverse cultural backgrounds.
