Sports Medicine

Dr. Rogers discusses treatment options for sports injuries and common orthopedic conditions. 

Whether you are a professional or youth athlete, a weekend warrior, or just want to remain physically active on a daily basis, you don’t want injuries to keep you on the sidelines. The sports medicine team at Morton Hospital specializes in preventing, diagnosing and treating injuries related to physical activity and sports at all levels. Our fellowship-trained orthopedic sports surgeon is dedicated to helping patients return to the activities they enjoy with minimal pain and discomfort – whether through physical therapy, rehabilitation or surgical intervention.

Areas of specialty include:

  • Minimally invasive hip, knee and shoulder surgery, including hip arthroscopy
  • Advanced sports surgery, including cartilage-saving procedures and ligament injuries and repairs
  • Shoulder injuries, including rotator cuff repairs
  • Acute injuries, such as ankle sprains, muscle strains, knee and shoulder injuries and fractures

In addition to having extensive experience working with professional athletes, our sports medicine surgeon works as the team physician for Taunton High School and Coyle Cassidy High School in Taunton and provides medical coverage for the schools’ athletes throughout the season.
