Our outpatient Physical Therapy Department offers a variety of services to help patients regain maximum functioning after illness or injury. We offer a highly trained staff of licensed physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and other supportive professionals with special expertise in areas such as:

Physical Therapy Services and Programs

Lymphedema
Patients with upper or lower extremity lymph edema are treated in this outpatient program by certified clinicians. The clinically up-to-date program incorporates four components of Complete Digestive Therapy:

1.) Manual Lymph Drainage
2.) Compression Therapy
3.) Remedial Exercises
4.) Skin Care

Orthotics
Patients who require orthotics receive a biomechanical evaluation of their feet and ankles, as well as a gait analysis. The clinicians then cast the feet for the custom made orthotics. This program is held in the rehabilitation Services Department at the Northwoods Medical Center.
