Morton Hospital recently welcomed Drew Rogers, MD, FRCSC, to its medical staff in the department of orthopedics in Taunton, MA.
As an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, Dr. Rogers’ clinical interests include complex shoulder and knee injuries, cartilage and ligament reconstruction, joint preservation and arthroscopy, pectoralis major tears, and athletic injury treatment for all levels of competition and age groups.
A graduate of Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Rogers completed his internship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and his orthopedic residency at McGill University Orthopaedics. He obtained further training in sports medicine at Boston University & Lahey Clinic. During this time, he received several distinction awards for excellence in education, leadership and patient care.
Dr. Rogers’ extensive experience in sports medicine includes working with members of the Montreal Alouettes professional football team, the Montreal Canadiens professional hockey team and the Montreal Impact major league soccer team. He has also worked as a team orthopedic physician for Boston University sports teams, including the men’s and women’s hockey teams, and currently works with the USA hockey program. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Sports Medicine Committee.
A fellow of and board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Rogers is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), the Arthroscopy Association of American (AANA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS). He is also a journal reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine.
